Great slideshow. I look forward to the longer post.

Great project! Looking forward to seeing more. I've been eyeing up our garden shed to do the same. An architect told me I just need a second set of beams to accomodate the extra weight. What direction does the roof face?Heather
Hi Heather,This roof faces south west. I just posted some more photos, and later this week, I'll write a post describing everything. Thanks for stopping by!David
Very cool. I'm planning on doing this on my shed too. Great photos!
Great! Can't wait to hear more...
this is really cool...love to do this to the top of my house :-)
Thanks everyone for the comments. Erin- I agree! well, maybe not my house (too much slope), but maybe my garage- the slope is less. So this is kind of a trial and learning experience, maybe the garage will be next.David
Oh I love it. So glad that you are taking on the experiment for us all. I'll be sure to share this. Thanks!
Looks very well-thought-out! Wondering about that metal flange at the bottom, but I'm sure you'll tell us in the main post.
Great job, David! You transformed your simple shed to an ecological type. Hmm, I wonder if you planted Yarrow (Achillea millefolium) here. It would be a great flower for garden shed. You’ll enjoy looking at your shed when it flourishes into beautiful flowers. =) Anyway, just keep the wood clean to ensure its longevity.
